All Joobin has ever wanted to do is create beautiful things that move others.
As a little boy, he drew pictures that were passed around the classroom. As a teenager, he penned love lyrics while plotting to set the world on fire with his electric guitar. These days, he tell stories (although he still wants to be Keith Richards).
When he’s not telling stories of his own, he helps brands tell stories their audiences want to hear — and that inspire them to take action.
In addition to his work in strategic communication, Joobin has an extensive background in journalism. He has written for publications like The New York Times, The Washington Post, the BBC, CNN, The Guardian, The Financial Times, GQ, Forbes, and The Economist, amongst many such others, and, between 2012 and 2018, creatively directed and edited the acclaimed arts review Reorient. He is also the author of numerous books.
Icons like John Malkovich, Ronnie Wood, Kenzo Takada, Dries Van Noten, Johnny Marr, and Salma Hayek have spoken with Joobin for his stories, and he has himself been the subject of interviews with publications including Monocle, The Art Newspaper, and Newsweek, which referred to him as a ‘leading figure in the art world’ in 2015.

After running his own architecture and civil engineering firm (and, later, wealth advisory practice), Shahdad turned his attention to international business. For over a decade, he managed a cosmeceutical and image-enhancement company in Dubai, and for nearly another decade served high-net-worth individuals as the owner of a contemporary art consultancy.
